"Adirondack Collection:"

Gorgeous pieces of jewelry created from lightly oxidized silver.  The pure silver "replica" pieces are made by painting 15-20 layers of silver clay directly onto leaves and twigs.  Once dry, they are fired in a kiln at 1300 degrees...the leaf and/or twig turn to white ash and a pure silver replica is formed...the "Autumn" series have a coppery patina added.

Other silver pieces are made by creating an exact impression of the leaf, by pressing it into a rolled-out sheet of silver clay...then the outline is carefully carved; the leaf design is tweaked to create realistic curves and twists, the clay is dried and carefully sanded, and another art object taken directly from nature is created...

Prices for pins range from $25-$75;      Pendants on sterling chains range from $45-$100.  Call me at 518-359-2652 or email me at:  bnjohnson@roadrunner.com

MEMORY LEAVES:

many customers give me a leaf from a tree that means something special...grandma's tree;  a tree planted to remember a loved one; the tree under which you were married??!!

If you supply a leaf from a special tree, I'll recreate it in pure silver!
